My singer friend said, "I postponed my recital." People who were there were all surprised at his words and said, "Ehhhhhhh?! What happened?"
According to him, he had an awful dream a week ago and thought he had to cancel it. His dream was that he was singing in his recital, but in the middle of the song, he forgot the lyrics and stopped, then he woke up. The leaflets for his recital had already been printed out, but he canceled it once and decided to do it another day.
Listening to his story, I realized that such things even happen to a 40-year-old professional like him too. When I don't have an enough time to practice the flute, I sometimes have a similar dream to his.
My last night's dream was that I couldn't set up my flute because I suddenly forgot how at the side of a stage. Since the concert start time was closing in on me, I was in a hurry, but I couldn't. While I was struggling to do that, the orchestra started performing without me. Maybe I should cancel my performance as he did? The dream left me feeling bad, but it was interesting because the feeling of frustration in the dream seemed real. I actually felt the color drain from my face...
